The number one priority for parents is their childrens well being. Research has proven that children do better when their parents are involved both at home and at school. Grades and test scores climb. Self-esteem grows. Schools improve. Shiloh Charter School recognizes that parents are a vital part of our school community. Parents are welcomed and needed at the school. Parents can participate in several different ways. Many parents have aided with in-class activites or field trips. Other parents participate through our PTA. The PTA is run by parent volunteers. We help provide our children with a wealth of activites, events, and educational resources. The relationship created by parent volunteers and Shiloh Charter School has set the foundation for a great educational and character building environment for our children.
The National Parent Teacher Association (PTA) helps parents, students, school staff, and communities work together to share ideas about programs and activities that benefit children. Our PTA provides information and resources that strengthen the connections between children, parents, schools, and the community. At Shiloh Charter School, the PTA help support events that:
Build and strengthen the community
Raise money to provide additional funding for classrooms and school grounds
Enable and urge parent involvment
Having a diverse membership is key to success. Membership is open to anyone concerned about children. We strive to include teachers, staff members, parents, grandparents, community members, and students. PTA is America’s number one parent involvement resource. By becoming a member, you will help your child in one of the most important ways possible.
